Kyle Connor, Youngstown Phantoms
The 17-year-old recorded five points (1g, 4a) as the Phantoms earned a weekend sweep over the Bloomington Thunder. He netted his fifth goal of the season and dished out a pair of assists in Friday’s 6-1 victory. The Shelby Township, Michigan native followed up with two more assists in Saturday’s 5-3 win, his third straight multi-point game which also tied him for the USHL lead with 10 assists this season. Connor leads the League with 15 points (5g, 10a) through nine games and has earned a point in all but one game this season. Committed to the University of Michigan, the forward is a top prospect for the 2015 NHL Draft.
Jerad Rosburg, Sioux City Musketeers
The defenseman scored a goal and posted a plus-four rating to help the Musketeers win a pair of games and extend their win streak to five. He finished Friday’s 5-1 win over the Des Moines Buccaneers with a game high plus-four rating, the second-highest plus/minus for a USHL player in a game this season. The 18-year-old from Clarksville, Maryland then scored his first goal of the season in Saturday’s 5-3 victory against the Lincoln Stars. He was also part of a penalty killing unit that denied all six power play chances by their opponents. Rosburg, a Michigan State University commit, has finished all eight games this season with an even-or-better plus/minus and currently ranks tied for third in the League with a plus-10.
Eric Schierhorn, Muskegon Lumberjacks

He stopped all 32 shots he faced, a season high, in Friday’s 2-0 win for his first shutout of the season and the 25th victory of his USHL career. The 18-year-old followed up with 30 saves, including all 13 he faced in the third period, during Saturday’s 4-2 victory. It was his fourth straight win and improved his record on home ice to 4-0-0. The goaltender also helped the Lumberjacks turn away all nine opponent power plays during the weekend. Schierhorn is now tied for second among USHL goaltenders with six wins this season.
