2015-16: 33-15-4-3, Last Poll: 3

The Gamblers were the third team in the Eastern Conference to clinch a playoff spot, and they come into April with seven wins in their last 10 games (sound familiar?) and sit just one point back of Bloomington for second place in the conference with two games in hand. They picked up March wins with sweeps over Muskegon and Omaha, and victories over Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. New York Rangers prospect Adam Huska continues to lead the league with a 1.81 GAA and a .933 SV% in 33 games. Sam Saliba’s 46 points are most on the team. The Gamblers will finish the regular season with road sets against Team USA and Lincoln with a home against Dubuque sandwiched in between.

1. Cedar Rapids RoughRiders (12)

2015-16: 38-13-3-2, Last Poll: 1

Once again, the RoughRiders are the unanimous selection for the top spot on the power rankings, and rightfully so. Mark Carlson’s team has been dominant all season long, and they come into the final month of the regular season on a five-game point streak, and seven wins in their last 10 games. Ross Colton is second in the league in goals (31) and points (61). Jack Ahcan is second in the league in scoring among defenseman with 41 points, and Matt Filipe is fifth among rookies in scoring with 35 points. It’s been clicking on all cylinders for Cedar Rapids this year, including in goal. Ben Blacker has been a machine since taking over full-time duties. Blacker is first in the league with 33 wins, and second in both GAA (2.12) and SV% (.929). Cedar Rapids has a home-and-home with Dubuque and road games at Waterloo and Sioux City as they look to close out the season as Anderson Cup Champions and head into the Clark Cup Playoffs as the top team in the USHL.
