Youngstown’s offense is led by a pair of Ohio natives in Austin Pooley and Chase Gresock. Pooley has scored a goal in every Phantoms game this season while Gresock has picked up a point in each of those games. Both Pooley and Gresock played for the Ohio Blue Jackets (T1EHL) prior to their respective USHL careers. Buffalo Sabres prospect Brett Murray has also been impressive, scoring four points in three games. The Phantoms have outscored their opponents 16-7 despite playing every game on the road this season. Ivan Kulbakov got his first career USHL win after stopping 16 of 17 shots. Darion Hanson was also impressive in his first USHL win, stopping 24 of 25 shots. Youngstown will return home this weekend with back-to-back games against Madison.

 

9. Muskegon Lumberjacks

Four different Lumberjacks are averaging a point-per-game, including New York Islanders prospect Collin Adams. The University of North Dakota commit comes back to Muskegon after scoring 61 points in 59 games a season ago. Two of the other four offensive leaders are a pair of defensemen: Zach Berzolla and Scooter Brickey. Berzolla tailed a pair of goals in a 7-3 Muskegon win, while Brickey was credited with the primary assist in an overtime win. Both Lumberjacks goaltenders Keith Petruzzelli and Adam Brizgala were named to the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List. Petruzzelli is 2-0-0-0 on the year including an overtime 2-1 win with 21 saves against Team USA.
