The Lumberjacks are tied for second in the USHL with 39 goals scored this season, 12 of which New York Islanders prospect Collin Adams has factored in on. The North Dakota commit has six goals and six assists to lead Muskegon in scoring. Rookie Andrei Svechnikov has nine points in nine games including a six-game point streak heading into November. Rookie goaltender Keith Petruzzelli is 5-2-0-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .916 SV%. The Quinnipiac commit ranks second in rookie GAA and save percentage. Defenseman Bo Hanson is tied for second in scoring by USHL defensemen with eight points in 11 games. The Lumberjacks are 5-1-0-0 on the road this season and will play six of their next 10 games away from L.C. Walker Arena.

 

 

5. Des Moines Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are led by rookie Isaac Johnson, who ranks second in USHL rookie scoring with 10 points in nine games. Johnson put together three multi-point games in October, including five points in his last three games. Second year goaltender Jan Ruzicka has been especially impressive going 4-2-0-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .941 sv%. Both his goals against average and save percentage rank in the USHL’s top-five amongst goaltenders. Another rookie who has been impressive is defenseman Mario Ferraro who is tied for first in rookie scoring by defensemen. As a team, the Buccaneers have been fantastic on special teams. Des Moines has the USHL’s second ranked power play unit (24.2%) and penalty kill (94.6%). The Buccaneers are one of two teams in the USHL who are still undefeated at home and will play three of their next four games at Buccaneer Arena.
