It was an exciting USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game with all sorts of highlights, but the best of the night may belong to goaltender Eamon McAdam of the Waterloo Black Hawks. He made a diving glove save in the first period to rob Michael Brodzinski of a sure goal. McAdam stopped all 11 shots he faced in 30 minutes of action to help Team West earn a 2-1 victory over Team East. He was also named MVP of the Team West.
McAdam was recently ranked #7 among North American goaltenders in the midterm rankings by NHL Central Scouting in advance of the 2013 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old has earned 45 victories over the last three seasons in the USHL. A native of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, he will play collegiate hockey at Penn State University following his USHL career.
