Omaha's Travis Novak is the top scorer thus far in the Clark Cup Playoffs, scoring three goals and eight assists for 11 points in nine games.
The United States Hockey League is pleased to announce the schedule for the final round of the Clark Cup Playoffs, set to get underway on Sunday, May 4.
"This is the reason that all of these teams and all of these young athletes put in the time that they do over the course of the year. They want the chance to play for a championship," said USHL president Gino Gasparini. "We congratulate both teams for making it to the finals and wish them luck as they play for the right to be called national champions."
Omaha, the regular season champion in the USHL, reached the final round by beating Sioux City 3-1 in the first round before surviving an epic five-game battle against Lincoln in the second round. Waterloo, meanwhile, qualified for the final by sweeping Cedar Rapids in the first round and Chicago in the second. Their perfect 6-0 playoff mark extends their winning streak to 13 games, dating back to the regular season.
