Describe your USHL experience so far? It has been a great experience. The games are incredible. It's a battle every night and that makes it really fun.
How has your second year in the league differed from your first year? This year has been a lot different. The team is down in Columbus full-time which makes it a lot better. The team also has a better attitude because of the tough season we went through last year.
What are some of the perks of sharing a building and other facilities with a NHL team? It's great to be using NHL facilities and be around professionals all the time.
What's the best thing about playing in Columbus? The best thing about playing in Columbus is that it is a growing hockey market. In addition sporting events are always going on, especially hockey.
What made Colorado College the right school for you? It was a perfect fit for me when I visited there. Their style of play, the history of the program, the academics, and the character of all the people in CC hockey made me want to go there.
You've been chosen to play in the World Junior A Challenge in British Columbia next week. What are your thoughts about playing for this team and representing your country? It is an honor and a privilege to represent our country and put on the USA sweater. I am excited about the opportunity to play with some of the best players from around the league and hopefully bring back a gold medal.
If you could run the USHL for a day, what is one thing that you would change? I would let everyone wear half shields.
If you could have your own theme song, what would it be? Two-Step by DMB
What's one thing that nobody knows about you? I played the piano growing up.
What advice do you give to young players? Always work hard and never take a shift off.
