The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Matt Bailey to a two-year NHL entry-level contract that begins with the 2014-15 season.

Bailey spent two seasons in the USHL, first breaking into the League with the Tri-City Storm during the 2008-09 season.  He recorded 24 points (10g, 14a) in 58 regular season games for the Storm.  He then joined the Sioux Falls Stampede for the 2009-10 campaign and produced 47 points (14g, 33a) over 59 regular season games.  He then chipped in two goals in three playoff contests for the Stampede.  During one stretch with Sioux Falls, he put together a five-game point streak where he accumulated 11 points (4g, 7a), including a four-assist effort in the 6-2 win over the Indiana Ice on November 7th, 2009.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba native went on to play collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Anchorage where he recorded 94 points (47g, 47a) in 138 games at the school.  He was one of the top scorers in the nation this season as he led the Seawolves with 38 points (20g, 18a) in 38 games this season on the way to being named All-WCHA First Team.  His 20 goals tied for the 16th most in the NCAA.
