Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson, Omaha Lancers

It was a big holiday week for the forward as he produced nine points (4g, 5a) over three games to help the Lancers earn five of six points in the standings.  He netted three goals, including the game-winner, and dished out an assist in Wednesday’s 10-4 win over the Waterloo Black Hawks.  It was the first hat trick of his USHL career.  He followed up with three points (1g, 2a) in Saturday’s 4-2 victory against the Tri-City Storm, and then had his third straight multi-point effort when he dished out two assists in Sunday’s 6-5 shootout loss to the Des Moines Buccaneers, extending his point streak to six games (6g, 6a).  The 18-year-old is playing his second season in the USHL with the Lancers after competing for Linkoping in his native Sweden.  He is committed to Boston University and is a top prospect for the 2015 NHL Draft.
