Vince Pedrie, D, Bloomington Thunder
It is the second consecutive weekly honor for the defenseman after he recorded three points (2g, 1a) and a plus-two rating over two road games to help the Thunder extend their winning streak to five games. He netted two goals on Friday, including the game-winner on a penalty shot with just over a minute to play in regulation, during the 4-3 win against the Green Bay Gamblers. It was the first multi-goal game of his USHL career that has spanned 155 games. The 20-year-old then helped the Thunder to a 4-2 win on Saturday against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, owners of the USHL’s best record. He ranks third among USHL defensemen in scoring with 17 points (6g, 11a) through 23 games for Bloomington. The Minnesota native will begin his collegiate career at Quinnipiac University next season.
