Defenseman Christian Evers Selected 1st in Phase Two of 2015 USHL Draft

The Lincoln Stars used the first pick in Phase Two of the USHL Draft to select defenseman Christian Evers who spent the last two seasons playing in the USHL with Team USA.

The Lincoln Stars were on the clock to start Phase Two of the 2015 USHL Draft on Tuesday, May 5th.  With the first overall selection, they chose defenseman Christian Evers.

The 6-2, 205-pound defenseman spent the last two seasons playing in the USHL with Team USA, putting up 12 points (2g, 10a) over 51 games in the League.  Overall this season for Team USA, he recorded eight points (2g, 6a) in 43 games split between USHL, collegiate, and international competition.

Evers celebrates his 18th birthday later this month.  The native of Waukee, Iowa played youth hockey for the Omaha AAA organization prior to this time in the USHL.  He is committed to play college hockey at the University of North Dakota following his USHL career.
