RECAP: Waterloo evens series 1-1

Cale Morris was solid in net and forward Yuri Terao scored the game-winning goal for a 3-1 victory.

 

Waterloo tied the Western Conference Final series at one game apiece with a 3-1 win. Yuri Terao’s second period goal would prove to be the game-winning goal as Cale Morris stopped 32 of 33 in net.

Defenseman Ben Newhouse opened the game’s scoring with a first period shot with traffic in front. Carson Meyer responded in the second period with his fourth goal of Clark Cup Playoffs. Terao would score eight minutes later with an assist from Zach Yon. Nick Swaney put in an empty netter to seal the victory.

 

Morris improved his Clark Cup Playoffs SV% to .935 with the win. Waterloo returns home next weekend with a back-to-back set at Young Arena.
