2016-17 USHL Schedule

The USHL announced the schedule for its 17 member clubs for the 2016-17 regular season.

The United States Hockey League announced today the 2016-17 schedule for its 17 member clubs.

 

FULL 2016-17 SCHEDULE

 

In addition to the regular season, the USHL will host the pre-season USHL Fall Classic West at Ralston Arena in Omaha, NE September 8-11th, and USHL Fall Classic East at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry PA September 15-18th. The annual USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game is set to be held at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, SD on January 10th, with off-ice and on-ice testing occurring the two days prior.

 

USHL Teams Home Openers

 

NOTABLE GAMES:

 

  • Bloomington Thunder will host their home opener against the Muskegon Lumberjacks on Saturday, September 24th. Fans in attendance will be treated to a special giveaway when they hit their seats. The Thunder will also host their annual National Wild Turkey Federation game on Friday, January 13th against the defending Clark Cup champion Tri-City Storm. They will don camouflage jerseys followed by a jersey auction for the fans.
  • Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will host a home and home series against the Waterloo Black Hawks beginning on Thursday, November 24th at Young Arena and then Saturday, November 26th at The Stable for the RoughRiders annual Teddy Bear Toss Night.
  • Chicago Steel will host the Des Moines Buccaneers Friday, November 4th during the Chicago Bauer World Invite, and will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks Friday, April 7th during the NCAA Frozen Four Tournament being played in Chicago.
  • Des Moines Buccaneers will reignite a heated rivalry at home on Saturday, October 1st against the Omaha Lancers, and will go head-to-head with the Lincoln Stars at home on Friday, October 21st.
  • Dubuque Fighting Saints will rematch with last season’s first round Clark Cup Playoffs opponent, the Green Bay Gamblers, on Friday, November 11th during Military Appreciation Night, and will rematch with Clark Cup Final opponent Tri-City Storm on Friday, December 16th.
  • Fargo Force will host their annual Hometown Heroes Night Saturday, January 21st against the Lincoln Stars, and Purple N Pucks Cancer Awareness Night Saturday, February 18th against the Madison Capitols.
  • Green Bay Gamblers will host their 5th annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, November 12th against the Dubuque Fighting Saints, and their 18th annual Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, February 25th against the Chicago Steel.
  • Lincoln Stars will host the defending Clark Cup champion Tri-City Storm on Wednesday, November 23rd, and in-state rival Omaha Lancers on Friday, December 17th.
  • Madison Capitols will defend their Cheese Cup championship against the Green Bay Gamblers at home beginning Friday, October 14th, and will host Team USA U18 December 16th and 17th at home.
  • Muskegon Lumberjacks will host a AAA hockey tournament during a weekend series that features a 2015 Clark Cup Final rematch against the Sioux Falls Stampede, on October 28th and 29th. In addition, they will host Hockey For Health attracting local schools on Thursday, November 3rd against the Youngstown Phantoms at 10:30 AM.
  • Omaha Lancers will host their Military Appreciation Night on Friday, November 11th against the Sioux Falls Stampede, as well as the first home contest versus I-80 rival Lincoln Stars on Friday, January 6th.
  • Sioux City Musketeers will host Military Night presented by Dunes Surgical Hospital on Saturday, November 12th against defending Clark Cup champion Tri-City Storm, and will host a Salvation Army Night to benefit the Siouxland Area during the holidays on Saturday, December 17th against I-29 rivals Sioux Falls Stampede.
  • Sioux Falls Stampede will host their annual Pink In The Rink Night with pink ice and specialty jerseys on Saturday, November 5th against the Lincoln Stars, and will host a special 10th anniversary of the ever-famous Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Races on Saturday, February 18th against the Bloomington Thunder.
  • Team USA will host in-state rival Muskegon Lumberjacks on Friday, September 23rd, and will host defend Clark Cup champion Tri-City storm in back-to-back games on January 27th and 28th.
  • Tri-City Storm will raise their Clark Cup championship banner on Friday, September 30th against the Sioux City Musketeers.
  • Waterloo Black Hawks will begin play against in-state rival Dubuque Fighting Saints at home on October 28th, and will host Cedar Rapids for their first home battle against the RougRiders on November 24th.
  • Youngstown Phantoms will host Pittsburgh Penguins Night Saturday, December 10th against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, and Youth Jersey Giveaway Night on Friday, January 14th against the Sioux City Musketeers.
