Shane McMahan picked up a hat trick as the Fargo Force earned a 6-0 road shutout of the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. McMahan scored the first two goals of the game before Odeen Tufto tallied the first goal of his USHL career to give Fargo a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. McMahan completed the hat trick in the second period to make it 4-0 Fargo, and Martin Sundberg and Jack Adams scored in the final frame to complete the 6-0 shutout. Adams’ goal was his 11th of the season, giving him a two-goal lead for most in the USHL. McMahan (3G, 0 A), Tufto (1G, 1A) and Bradley Johnson (0G, 2A) all registered multiple points in the win, and Matthew Murray stopped all 30 shots he faced for his second shutout and seventh victory of the season. With the win, the Force now sit in a tie for fourth place in the Western Conference along with the Tri-City Storm.
