Omaha's Austin Alger, Lincoln's Dylan Woolf, Team USA's Dylan St. Cyr all earn first career weekly honors.

The United States Hockey League announced the CCM Forward, Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week for Week 12 of the 2016-17 season. Omaha Lancers forward Austin Alger, Lincoln Stars defenseman Dylan Woolf and Team USA goaltender Dylan St. Cyr all earned weekly honors. Alger and Woolf tallied two goals and two assists each, while St. Cyr made 43 saves in his two starts on the weekend, including a shutout. CCM Hockey is the official equipment provider of the USHL.

 

 

Forward: Austin Alger – Omaha Lancers

 

2 GP: 2 goals, 2 assists, +2 rating

 

Alger dished out a pair of assists on Friday in Omaha’s win over Tri-City before tallying two goals in the Lancers’ Saturday victory at Sioux Falls. The Miami University commit now has 17 points (8G, 9A) in 20 games this season, good for second on the team. The Livonia, MI native is in his second season with the Lancers and has 40 points (19, 21A) in 76 career USHL games. He previously played for the Odessa Jackalopes (NAHL) and Cranbrook-Kingswood Upper School (USHS).

 

 

Defenseman: Dylan Woolf – Lincoln Stars

 

2 GP: 2 goals, 2 assists, +2 rating

 

Woolf helped lead Lincoln to a pair of victories over the weekend. The Stars captain scored once and added two assists in Friday’s victory over the Dubuque Fighting Saints, and tallied his second goal of the weekend in a win at Western Conference-leading Sioux City on Saturday. Friday’s three-point performance was the first multi-point game of Woolf’s career. The recent St. Lawrence University commit now has 20 points (7G, 13A) in his 121-game USHL career, including seven points (3G, 4A) this season. This is Woolf’s third season with the Stars. The Victoria, MN native was a second-round pick (23rd overall) by Lincoln in the 2014 USHL Phase II Draft. Prior to his USHL career he played for Holy Family Catholic (USHS).

 

 

Goalie: Dylan St. Cyr – Team USA

 

2-0-0-0, 0.50 GAA, .977 SV%

 

In his two starts last week, St. Cyr backstopped Team USA to a pair of victories. He picked up a 15-save shutout on Thursday over Cedar Rapids before making 28 saves on 29 Bloomington shots in a win over the Thunder on Saturday night. He has now earned a win in his last four starts. The University of Michigan commit moved his record to 5-1-1-0 on the season with a 2.14 GAA and .921 SV%. Both his GAA and SV% are 10th among all USHL goaltenders. A native of Northville, MI, St. Cyr has spent the last two seasons with Team USA. Before joining the USHL, St. Cyr was a member of the Honeybaked (HPHL) program.
