The United States Hockey League announced the CCM Forward, Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week for Week 27 of the 2016-17 season. Sioux City Musketeers teammates Kristian Pospisil and Matt Hellickson were named Forward of the Week and Defenseman of the Week, respectively, while Josef Korenar of the Lincoln Stars earned Goaltender of the Week honors. Pospisil had six points last week, including a four-point effort (2G, 2A) on Saturday, Hellickson tallied five points in three games, including a game-winning goal on Sunday, and Korenar led Lincoln to a pair of wins on the weekend with 43 saves, including an 18-save shutout on Friday. CCM Hockey is the official equipment provider of the USHL.
Forward: Kristian Pospisil - Sioux City Musketeers

Pospisil was outstanding over the weekend, as he tallied four points (2G, 2A) in a 6-3 win over Waterloo on Friday before scoring a goal and dishing out an assist in a 9-3 victory against Dubuque on Sunday afternoon. The Slovakia native has been a big part in Sioux City sitting atop the Western Conference standings, as he has scored in 26 of the 44 games he has played this season. He is fourth on the Musketeers in scoring with 39 points (15G, 24A), and his goals and assists also rank fourth on the team. Pospisil previously played for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL), EC Salzburg II (MHL) and HKM Zvolen in Slovakia.
Defenseman: Matt Hellickson - Sioux City Musketeers

Hellickson had points in all three of Sioux City's games last week, as he had back-to-back two point nights against Fargo on Tuesday (1G, 1A) and Waterloo on Friday (0G, 2A) before scoring what ended up becoming the game-winning goal in the Musketeers 9-3 home victory over Dubuque on Sunday. The Notre Dame commit has been on fire recently, as he has earned at least one point in five of his last six games, with seven points (2G, 5A) in that span. He is 11th among all USHL defenseman in scoring with 26 points (6G, 20A) and has six multi-point performances this season. Hellickson was named to the U.S. Junior Select Team for the World Junior A Challenge, where he helped Team USA to a gold medal. He was also named to the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game earlier this season and previously won USHL Defenseman of the Week honors on Feb. 24. The St. Louis Park, MN native previously played for Team USA (USHL) and Rogers High (USHS) and was the first overall pick in the 2016 USHL Phase II Draft.
Goaltender: Josef Korenar - Lincoln Stars

Korenar made 25 saves on 27 Tri-City shots in a 3-2 win over the Storm on Friday before picking up an 18-save shutout, his second shutout of the year, in the Stars 1-0 win over the Madison Capitols on Saturday. The Czech netminder has been stellar between the pipes for Lincoln all season long, as he is currently second among all USHL goaltenders in SV% (.926) and third in GAA (2.22). He has won four of his last five starts in net to help Lincoln make a late push for the Clark Cup Playoffs and has made at least 25 saves in four of his last six appearances. Korenar's two starts with less than 25 saves during that stretch both resulted in shutouts. He currently sports a record of 12-10-0-2 and was ranked 15th among North American goaltenders on NHL Central Scouting's Midterm Rankings in January. Korenar previously played for HC Dukla Jihlava in the Czech Republic and was selected in the third round, 43rd overall by Lincoln in the 2016 USHL Phase II Draft.
