Chicago Steel claim top spot in USHL November Power Rankings.

The first month of the 2017-18 USHL season is complete, and the first four weeks of the season were filled with exciting moments and storylines. Heading into November, the Chicago Steel, the team that topped the power rankings for most of last season before winning the Clark Cup, are number one in the rankings yet again after a torrid 6-1-0-0 start to the season. Two other teams, the Tri-City Storm and Fargo Force, have the same number of points (12) as the Steel after four weeks, and 10 teams have a record of .500 or better, a recipe for excitement throughout the entire regular season.

The usahockeymagazine.com Power Rankings have an eye on early starts and trends heading into a crucial month of the season. A panel of media members from around the league ranked the teams from 1st to 17th, and the votes were compiled into an overall ranking. Power Rankings are decided on a monthly basis and will run until Clark Cup Playoffs. Listed below are the teams, their record and number of first place votes earned. The previous rankings listed are from the October USHL Power Rankings.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 16th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2017-18. 30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in five consecutive NHL Drafts, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
