Morgan becomes the first female director in the league office since Jackie Cleveland in 2008.

The United States Hockey League announced today that Stephanie Morgan has been promoted to Director of Finance and Accounting, effective immediately. Morgan joined the league office prior to the 2016-17 season, and has served as Staff Accountant for more than a year. Morgan becomes the first female league director since Jackie Cleveland served as Director of Finance from 2006-08.

“Stephanie has worked seamlessly with our budget committee and shown tremendous ability to handle our day-to-day finances and accounting,” said Ryan Schiff, Lincoln Stars owner and Chairman of the USHL Executive Committee. “This well-deserved promotion is an excellent way for our league to recognize her outstanding efforts.”

In her new role, Morgan will oversee all accounting and financial functions of the league office, including, but not limited to: financial report analysis, event budgeting and finance, officiating financial administration, and business handlings with league sponsors and licensees. She will report to the USHL President and Commissioner.

Morgan joined the USHL after more than three years of Finance Specialist experience at a private bank. Her sports career began as a Staff Intern with the Windy City Thunderbolts in the Frontier League. She is currently working toward her master’s degree in Accounting, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance. Morgan currently resides in Orland Park, IL.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 16th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2017-18. 30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in five consecutive NHL Drafts, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
