Dubuque finished February with a pair of victories over Omaha and Cedar Rapids and sit just a single point point out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings thanks to a win on Thursday over the Bloomington Thunder. Zach Solow remains the only player this season to reach the 50-point plateau, tallying 13 goals and 38 assists on the year. The Northeastern commit finished February with 10 points (3G, 7A) in nine games. Colin Theisen was just as impressive, with 12 points (6G, 6A) in those nine contests, including a hat trick on Feb. 2 in Sioux Falls. The Notre Dame commit has moved up to third among all USHL players in scoring with 46 points (26G, 20A) in 43 games. Solow and Theisen have been playing on a line with Cole Guttman, who has played well in his own right as of late. Much like his linemates, the St. Cloud State commit was outstanding in February, with nine (3G, 6A) points in nine games. Guttman is now second among all USHL rookies in scoring with 39 points (19G, 20A) in 39 games. Dubuque will be a busy team in March, as the Fighting Saints will play 10 more games in the final full month of the season as they look to move closer to the top of the USHL standings.

3. Chicago Steel (3)

30-11-2-3, Last Poll: 1

Despite dropping two spots in the rankings, the Steel remain the top team in the Eastern Conference by three points, going 6-3-1-0 in their last 10 games. The Steel made a big addition prior to the USHL trade deadline, acquiring defenseman Ben Mirageas from the Bloomington Thunder. The Providence College commit played in the 207 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and will add size and depth to Chicago’s blue line. Jack Badini continues to excel offensively, ending the month on a four-game goal scoring streak. The Harvard commit tallied six points (5G, 1A) in those four games and has 33 points (24G, 9A) in 46 games this season. Ales Stezka finished the month with a 4-1-1-0 record and is currently sixth among all USHL goaltenders in GAA (2.32) and just outside the top-10 in SV% (.914). Chicago will play six of their ten games in March away from Fox Valley Ice Arena as they try to put a stranglehold on the top spot in the Eastern Conference and remain in the race for the Anderson Cup.
