Cedar Rapids picked up wins over Sioux Falls, Omaha and Youngstown in March. Justin Cole recently committed to American International College and was the team’s second leading scorer in March with five points (2G, 3A) in eight games. Scott Perunovich led the way in the third month of 2017 with six points (2G, 4A) in nine games. Bobby Hampton has four points (1G, 3A) in his last four games and continues to lead Cedar Rapids in scoring with 24 points (11G, 13A) in 49 games. The RoughRiders will finish March with a home game against Dubuque before finishing the season with four games in April.


16. Tri-City Storm

Veteran forward Wyatt Bongiovanni led the way for the Storm with five points (3G, 2A) in eight games in March. Tri-City also has several young players gaining valuable USHL experience as they look forward to next season. Adam Goodsir continues to develop in his first USHL season, as the University of Denver commit is seventh in USHL rookie scoring with 23 points (15G, 8A) on the year. Josiah Slavin, Wyllum Deveaux, Jonathan Bendorf, Blais Richartz and Jace Foskey have also made solid contributions to the Storm roster in their first USHL seasons as well. Goaltender Eric Dop is also earning his stripes between the pipes for Tri-City, as the Bowling Green commit started all eight of his team’s games so far in March and posted a respectable 2.70 GAA and .905 SV%. He will look to lead the Storm through the rest of the season as Tri-City closes the year with five games in eight days.


15. Sioux Falls Stampede

Sioux Falls comes into their final game in March having won two of their last three games. Josh Passolt went on a tear in his last 10 games, having tallied 11 points (7G, 4A) in that span. Rookie Khristian Acosta has been exceptional since joining the Stampede, with 11 points (1G, 10A) in his first 16 games with the team. Winnipeg Jets prospect Mikhail Berdin has been busy in March but has risen to the task, as he posted a .927 SV% and a .241 GAA in March. In his eight starts, Berdin made 30 or move saves in six of those contests. The Stampede will face the USHL-leading Sioux City Musketeers in three of their last four games and play in Des Moines on April 1 in the other contest.
