Online Medical Information System in Place to Help Streamline Player Information

The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced Thursday a partnership agreement with PRIVIT, an online medical information system, that provides Member Clubs and players with a secure solution for collecting, managing and processing player information. This partnership comes as part of the relationship between the NHL, USA Hockey and USHL.

“As the premier junior development hockey league in the United States, the USHL can now provide teams with an integrated and comprehensive player safety management platform,” said PRIVIT Chief Executive Officer Russell Goodwin. “This will allow the league to have a centralized database that can better manage player data, including real-time reporting of incidents; notifications to all relevant team and league officials, and the tracking of the care being provided. PRIVIT looks forward to collaborating with the USHL to provide additional player safety initiatives across the entire league.”

Through PRIVIT, USHL players will be able to create a profile to complete all compliance paperwork, including SafeSport, and fill out medical screening documents for team Athletic Trainers.

“We’re excited to partner with PRIVIT and simplify, standardize, collect and store our players health and safety-related information,” said USHL Director of Hockey Operations Evan Rand. “Their platform will also put pertinent medical information in the hands of our Athletic Trainers at all times, while ensuring privacy and security of the data.”

PRIVIT will also include a mobile application for USHL Athletic Trainers so they can remotely access a player’s medical information and contact information for the player’s parent or legal guardian. Compliance paperwork for team staff and billet families will also be available through the PRIVIT application.
