Hayden Lavigne, Waterloo Black Hawks
The goaltender made 51 total saves in leading the Black Hawks to a pair of weekend victories. He made a season high 32 saves on Friday to lead Waterloo to its first win of the season, a 4-1 victory over rival Dubuque. He was also big on the penalty kill, helping the Saints successfully stop all five opponent power plays. Lavigne then had 19 saves in Sunday’s 4-1 win against the Lincoln Stars. The 18-year-old from Brampton, Ontario is currently second in the USHL with a 1.34 goals-against-average and fifth overall with a .943 save percentage. He is committed to play college hockey at the University of Michigan.
