Aaron Thow, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders
Making his USHL debut this weekend, the defenseman recorded four points (1g, 3a) to help the RoughRiders earn a pair of victories against the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He scored the game-winning goal, his first goal in the League, during the third period of Friday’s 4-3 victory. The 19-year-old then dished out three assists in Saturday’s 6-0 win and equaled a game high with a plus-two rating. He was also part of a penalty killing unit that was a perfect 6-for-6 on the weekend and helped shut down a Muskegon team that had scored 15 goals over its previous three games. The East York, Ontario native was selected in the first round of Phase Two in the 2014 USHL Draft. Thow is committed to Clarkson University.
