Sioux City Musketeers 2 @ Omaha Lancers 1

Brandon Hawkins scored the game-winner and Kyle Hayton made 33 saves to lead the Musketeers to a Game Two victory and 2-0 series lead over the Lancers. Jared Thomas got things started for Sioux City with his first USHL playoff goal midway through the first period. Omaha came out firing in the second period, putting 15 shots on net and finally slipped one past Hayton late in the period as Tyler Vesel netted his first playoff goal. Hawkins then played hero midway through the period as he broke the 1-1 tie with his second goal in as many nights for the Musketeers. Hayden Hawkey made 23 saves in the loss for Omaha. Hayton has stopped 73 total shots over the first two games of the series. The teams will meet next in Sioux City on Friday for Game Three of the series.
