Eric Schierhorn, Muskegon Lumberjacks
The native of Anchorage, Alaska posted a 1.00 goals-against-average and .969 save percentage in backstopping the Lumberjacks to pair of victories against the Green Bay Gamblers. He stopped all 32 shots he faced, a season high, in Friday’s 2-0 win for his first shutout of the season and the 25th victory of his USHL career. The 18-year-old followed up with 30 saves, including all 13 he faced in the third period, during Saturday’s 4-2 victory. It was his fourth straight win and improved his record on home ice to 4-0-0. The goaltender also helped the Lumberjacks turn away all nine opponent power plays during the weekend. Schierhorn is now tied for second among USHL goaltenders with six wins this season.
