Joe Snively, Sioux City Musketeers
The veteran forward recorded six points (3g, 3a) as the Musketeers won two of three games during the week. He assisted on a shorthanded goal in Friday’s 4-0 win against the Bloomington Thunder and then had another assist in the 7-3 loss to the Thunder on Saturday. Snively closed out the weekend by recording his first USHL hat trick in the 7-3 victory over the Chicago Steel. He scored a goal in each period and also dished out an assist for a USHL career high four-point game (3g, 1a). The 19-year-old is currently riding a seven-game point streak (6g, 8a) and is tied for ninth in League scoring with 33 points (15g, 18a) through 29 games. The Herndon, Virginia native is a product of the Selects Hockey Academy and is committed to play college hockey at Yale University.
Jiri Fronk, Cedar Rapids RoughRiders
The native of Louny, Czech Republic tallied five points (2g, 3a) and a plus-four rating over two games as the RoughRiders earned a weekend sweep against Team USA. He dished out an assist and netted the game-winning goal in Friday’s 4-2 victory. The 20-year-old then had a three-point night (1g, 2a) in Saturday’s 4-2 win. Fronk is riding a four-game point streak (2g, 5a) and currently tied for fourth in USHL scoring with 36 points (20g, 16a) through 32 games this season. His 20 goals are tied for the League lead. It is the first season in North America for Fronk who played for KLH Chomutov in his native country prior to his time in the USHL. The forward was also selected to play in the 2015 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
