Kris Oldham, Omaha Lancers
Over a three-game span, the 17-year-old goaltender posted a 1.45 goals-against-average and .940 save percentage in helping the Lancers extend their win streak to six straight contests. He turned aside 22 shots in Friday’s 4-2 win over the Madison Capitols. Oldham then entered Saturday’s game at the beginning of the second period with his team trailing 2-0 and went on to stop 13 of 14 shots he faced to earn the 4-3 victory over Des Moines. He finished off the weekend with a 28-save effort, plus stopped 2-of-3 in the shootout, in Sunday’s 2-1 shootout win against the Waterloo Black Hawks. It is the second straight week, and fourth time overall, that the Anchorage, Alaska native has captured USHL weekly honors. He played for the Alaska All Stars youth program and Kenai River (NAHL) prior to his time in the USHL. Oldham is committed to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
