Cale Morris, Waterloo Black Hawks
The goaltender earns his third weekly honor after posting a 1.00 goals-against-average and .968 save percentage to lead the Black Hawks to a pair of victories. He made 34 saves in Friday’s 4-2 victory against the Dubuque Fighting Saints to collect his 20th win of the season. The 18-year-old then stopped all 27 shots he faced in Sunday’s 3-0 victory over the Sioux Falls Stampede to post his USHL-leading fourth shutout of the season. Morris is tied for third among League goaltenders with 21 wins and ranks third in both GAA (2.39) and SV% (.923). Since being acquired by Waterloo earlier in the season, the goaltender has posted a 13-3-3 record with a 1.57 GAA and .949 SV%. The native of Larkspur, Colorado is a product of the Colorado Thunderbirds youth program and has yet to make a college hockey commitment.
