Chris Wilkie, Tri-City Storm
The 18-year-old recorded seven points (2g, 5a) and a plus-five rating to help the Storm win two of three games during the week. He netted his 30th goal of the season and dished out an assist in Tuesday’s 6-1 victory against the Lincoln Stars. Wilkie then recorded an assist on all three goals for the Storm in Friday’s 4-3 loss to Lincoln. He closed out the week with his third straight multi-point effort (1g, 1a) in Saturday’s 5-3 win against the Omaha Lancers. The native of Omaha, Nebraska is currently riding a five-game point streak (4g, 5a) and is tied for 16th in USHL scoring with 46 points (31g, 15a) through 51 games, while his 31 goals lead the League. The product of the Omaha Lancers AAA youth program is committed to play college hockey at the University of North Dakota.
Steven Spinner, Omaha Lancers
The 2014 NHL Draft pick of the Washington Capitals registered six points (3g, 3a) and a plus-three rating over three games as the Lancers earned three of six points in the standings during the week. He equaled a USHL career high with three points (2g, 1a) in Wednesday’s 4-2 win over the Fargo Force. After collecting an assist in Friday’s 4-3 shootout loss to the Sioux Falls Stampede, the 19-year-old had his eighth multi-point effort (1g, 1a) of the season in Saturday’s 5-3 loss to Tri-City. The goal was his 20th USHL career goal. Spinner has appeared in all 51 games this season for the Lancers and is third on the team in scoring with 36 points (18g, 18a). The product of Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota is committed to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
