The Lumberjacks are now alone in second place in the Eastern Conference standings thanks to an 8-2 victory over the Lancers at Ralston Arena. Muskegon jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second period thanks to a hat trick from Collin Adams and a tally from Andrei Svechnikov. It was the second hat trick of Adams’ career, and the North Dakota commit is now second in the USHL in both goals (13) and points (22). Svechnikov, who had three points (2G, 1A) in the win, extended his goal-scoring streak to four games and his point streak to 10 games. He has 16 points (8G, 8A) in those 10 contests. Jordan Timmons, Koby Bender and Keenan Suthers also scored for Muskegon, while Filip Suchy and Michael Joyaux found the back of the net for Omaha. In addition to Adams and Svechnikov, Bender (1G, 1A), Cooper Zech (0G, 2A) and Casey Gilling (0G, 3A) all picked up multiple points. Adam Brizgala moved above the .500 mark to 5-4-0-0 with a 36-save performance.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 15th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2016-17.  30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in four consecutive NHL Drafts,  and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
