The United States Hockey League and NHL Central Scouting announced that Chicago Steel defenseman Corson Green has been added to the 2017 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game that will take place on Jan. 10 in Sioux Falls, SD at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

Green is in his first USHL season with the Chicago Steel and has 10 points in 24 games, in addition to a +2 rating. During the month of December, Green has been credited with a point in six of his nine games, totaling seven points during that span. The Potsdam, NY native is currently committed to the University of New Hampshire and was named a C-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting Players to Watch List on Nov. 16, 2016.

With the addition of Green, the Steel now have three players named to the game including forwards Walker Duehr and Brannon McManus. Chicago head coach Dan Muse was also named a head coach for the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

Green will replace Lincoln Stars defenseman Eero Teravainen, who will not be able to compete due to injury.

2017 marks the fifth time the USHL will be hosting the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, and it follows the fourth consecutive year that 30 or players from the USHL were selected at the NHL Draft. The 2017 NHL Draft will be held June 23-24 in Chicago, IL at the United Center, home of the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks. Fans can purchase tickets to the game HERE, and any media credential requests should be sent HERE.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 15th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2016-17.  30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in four consecutive NHL Drafts,  and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
