Phantoms move into third place in East with shootout win over Stampede.

The first two periods between the Stampede and the Phantoms were scoreless, and it was a 0-0 game heading into the third period. Youngstown opened the scoring three minutes into the frame with Coale Norris's 12th goal of the season. 1:37 later, Eric MacAdams reached double digits with his 10th tally of the year to tie the game at one. Goals from Eric Esposito and Nicolas Werbik gave the Phantoms a 3-1 advantage with seven minutes to play in regulation, but Max Johnson and Jack Becker scored in the final 2:24 of the third to even the game at three and send the teams to overtime. After a scoreless extra session, Max Ellis and Alex Esposito scored in the shootout to give the Phantoms the 4-3 victory. Ivan Kulbakov made 22 saves, in addition to four of five attempts in the shootout. Youngstown has now moved into sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference standings.
