After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Wyatt Bongiovanni put the Storm up 1-0 2:16 into the second period. The Michigan native now has 6 points (4G, 2A) in his last 6 games. Late in the frame, Linus Weissbach doubled the lead with his to 2-0 with his 11th goal and team-leading 33rd point of the season. Nine minutes into the third, Odeen Tufto made it 3-0 Tri-City, and he now has 7 points (3G, 4A) in his 6 games as a member of the Storm thanks to a two-point night (1G, 1A). Emilio Pettersen cut the lead to 3-1 less than three minutes later, but Joey Matthews added an empty-net goal with three seconds remaining to complete the scoring and secure the victory for Tri-City. Danny DiGrande dished out a pair of assists, and Dayton Rasmussen picked up his 12th victory of the year between the pipes with a 26-save performance.
