Waterloo advances to second straight Western Conference Final with series sweep of Fargo.

The Black Hawks advanced to their second straight Western Conference Final with a 3-0 Game 3 shutout and 3-0 series sweep of the Fargo Force. The first period was scoreless until late in the frame, when Jackson Cates scored his first of the playoffs at 14:28 to open the scoring and give Waterloo a 1-0 lead heading into the middle 20 minutes. Following a scoreless second period, Shane Bowers found the back of the net for the second time in the series just 1:20 into the third to double the Black Hawks lead to 2-0. Bailey Conger added an empty-net goal with 1:21 remaining in the game to complete the scoring and give Waterloo the series sweep. Mason Palmer, Hank Sorensen and Dylan Samberg added assists in the win, and Robbie Beydoun stopped all 24 shots he faced for his third win in the series and the first playoff shutout of his USHL career. Waterloo will face the winner of the Sioux City/Des Moines series in the Western Conference Final.
