Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Chayse Primeau (Voorhees, N.J.) has committed to the University of Nebraska-Omaha to continue his hockey journey.
Primeau, since being acquired from the Lincoln Stars in the preseason, has been utilized as an all-situations center for the Fighting Saints and head coach Oliver David. He scored four points in three games during the USHL Fall Classic, and has posted 13 points in 19 regular season games since.
Prior to his time in the USHL, Primeau played for the Philadelphia Revolution (EHL) and Team Comcast (T1EHL). With his announcement, he becomes the 15th player to have played for the Fighting Saints this season to commit to a Division I school.
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 16th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2017-18. 30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in five consecutive NHL Drafts, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
