The Youngstown Phantoms are now 3-0-0-1 in their last four games after their 3-2 victory over the Central Illinois Flying Aces at Covelli Centre. After Central Illinois' Tate Singleton opened the scoring just under two minutes into the game, Youngstown responded with a pair of goals just 17 seconds apart, courtesy of Jack Malone and Connor MacEachern, to take a 2-1 lead into the first intermission. Following a scoreless second period, Jeremy Davidson tied the game at 2-2 8:24 into the third period with his fourth goal of the year. It remained a tie game for exactly seven minutes, at which point Matt DeMelis found the back of the net for the fifth time this season, giving Youngstown the 3-2 win. Christian Stoever is unbeaten in regulation since joining Youngstown, moving to 2-0-0-1 on the season with a 24-save performance.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 17th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2018-19. The USHL had a record 45 players selected at the 2018 NHL Draft, more than any junior league in the world, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
