The Youngstown Phantoms went into Dubuque and walked away with a 4-3 road victory over the Fighting Saints. Toronto Maple Leafs prospect JD Greenway scored the lone goal of the first period, thanks to a terrific pass from Willie Knierim, giving the Fighting Saints a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. The teams traded goals three minutes apart in the second period, with Jack Malone scoring for Youngstown and Knierim finding the back of the net for Dubuque, the Phantoms scored three times in the final half of the middle frame, courtesy of Connor MacEachern, Brett Murray and Dalton Messina, to take a 4-2 lead into the third period. Despite a Derek Contessa goal early in the third, the visitors hung on for the 4-3 victory. Murray added an assist for a two-point night, and Christian Stoever made 33 saves on 36 shots to move over .500 on the year at 5-4-0-0.
