Fargo Force forward Kaden Bohlsen has committed to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska Omaha following his junior hockey career.
Bohlsen, an 18-year-old, joined the Force in January in a trade with the Des Moines Buccaneers. He has 17 points (9 goals, 8 assists) in 42 games this season and four points (3 goals, 1 assist) in 17 games with the Force. He also participated in the 2019 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and scored a goal to help Team West to a 5-3 victory.
The Willmar, MN. native registered 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 30 games with the Shattuck-St. Mary’s prep team last season before joining the Buccaneers. Bohlsen was originally selected by Des Moines with the 10th pick in the 2017 USHL Phase I Draft.
UNO’s active roster currently has three Force alums: Mason Morelli (2013-15), John Schuldt (2017-18) and Martin Sundberg (2016-17).
Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 17th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2018-19. The USHL had a record 45 players selected at the 2018 NHL Draft, more than any junior league in the world, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
