The Des Moines Buccaneers picked up a 4-0 shutout of the Omaha Lancers on Thursday night to move into fourth place in the Western Conference standings. Following a scoreless first period, Reed Lebster scored the first of his two goals on the night five minutes into the middle frame to get the Bucs on the board, and Rylee St. Onge doubled the Des Moines lead at 14:58, giving the home team a 2-0 lead through 40 minutes of play. Lebster added his second goal of the game 13:28 into the third period and Scooter Brickey completed the scoring with an empty-net tally. Matt Brown dished out a pair of assists and James Durham stopped all 21 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season.

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 17th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2018-19. The USHL had a record 45 players selected at the 2018 NHL Draft, more than any junior league in the world, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world’s foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
